Die Juli-Ausgabe von „Impulse“ steht ganz im Zeichen des Sommers. Nachdem letztes Jahr die ersten Open Airs in Kiekebusch stattfanden, steppt dort diesen Sommer fast an jedes Wochenende der Berliner Bass-Bär. So schleppten die Jungs vom Hardwax bereits zwei Mal in diesem Jahr das wunderbare Killasan Soundsystem in den Kiekebusch.
Am Wochenende des 20. und 21. Juli 2013 ist es dann endlich Zeit für „Serendubity“. Der Veranstaltungsname leitet sich vom englischen Wort „serendipity“ ab. Es bezeichnet eine zufällige Begegnung, die gleichzeitig eine neue inspirierende Entdeckung ist. Dub als musikalisches Genre führt oft zu solchen Momenten: wie durch Zufall begegnen sich hier Stile und Menschen – und verschmelzen zu etwas ganz Neuem. Etliche Berliner Dubstep-Produzenten, DJs und Szene-Freunde sind an „Serendubity“ beteiligt, deshalb hat die Impulse-Crew die Veranstalter ins Studio eingeladen, um mehr über dieses neue Kleinod der Festivalkultur zu erfahren. In English: The July episode of „Impulse“ covers all about a certain summer weekend in Berlin. After hosting events occasionally last year, the open air location Kiekebusch close to the airport Schönefeld, sees parties almost each weekend this year. Among them the Hardwax team brought the mighty „Killasan Soundsystem“ already twice. On july, 20th to 21st there is time for the „Serendubity“ open air. As the promoters explain: „The word serendipity refers to a random encounter with something not sought for that turns out to be a new and surprising experience. Relating to dub, we hope for musical and artisitc coincidences to take place that cause people to meet the familiar in an unfamiliar way.“ Lots of Berlin based dubstep producers, djs and affiliated creativ people participate in this project. Therefore we invited the promoters to the studio to let them talk about this new worthy entry to Berlin festival culture.
